When Ashley first came in she had been putting color on her ends herself. She started with purple and then did the pink.

Although she had fun with the colors, she was ready to go back to a more subtle sunkissed blonde. The first appointment I tried to remove as much of the pink as possible. This stuff was NOT coming out!! (WARNING!! To all those considering adding colored tips yourself!!) I then I went over it and added some darker ash blonde to help disguise and blend it. It worked and was much better! She returned 5 weeks later so we could complete the transformation. This is when we were able to blend the color and add some balayage highlights to create a natural sunkissed blonde ombre! I was so pleased with the results!!

I wish I had thought to take more before and during pictures. Thank you Ashley for some before pictures! This was a fantastic end result but I want to point out a few things here. First take into consideration the "temporary" fun colors are not always temporary! Second, color corrections are not always quick or easy, and may take more than one appointment for the end result to be achieved. Keep that in mind when wanting to make major changes, so you can have realistic expectations. With color correction it's a lot of do what you think will work the best and then deal with the results. This takes a lot of knowledge, skill and experience to know how to deal with whatever comes up. As always DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
